Frame.io

The Opal + Frame.io DAM integration makes it easy to automatically import assets into Opal.

Import Assets and Folders from Frame.io

Deliver individual, multiple, or all Frame.io assets within a folder to Opal.

A Frame.io user will need to manually select and deliver assets.

Important: When new assets are added to Frame.io, they’ll will not be automatically delivered to Opal.
  1. Log in to frame.io.
  2. Navigate to an asset.
  3. Click ⋮ then select “Send to Opal.”
  4. Select the Workspace, then click “Submit.”
  5. Optional: Select a Story, and Asset Scope (Current Selection or Current Folder), then click “Submit.”
    Note: If there are no stories available, you can send assets to Opal. No story association will be added to the asset.

    If multiple stories are available in Opal, you can send assets to Opal without associating the asset to a story. Upon delivery, the asset will be automatically associated with the oldest story in the workspace.
  6. A pop-up will appear noting a successful delivery, and assets will be immediately delivered to Opal.
    Note: File delivery to Opal will be affected by the number of files selected, and file sizes.

View Assets from Frame.io

View assets that have imported from Frame.io.

  1. Open the Asset Library.
  2. Click “Filter.”
  3. Click “Asset Source” to toggle it on.
  4. Click the “+” then select “Frame.io.”

Supported File Types

The Opal + Frame.io integration supports all file types, and does not have a limit on file size. File delivery time to Opal may be impacted by the usage of the delivery network.

Note: Some file types cannot be rendered in the Asset Library. These types of files can downloaded to be viewed.

Additional Information

Duplicate Files

If a file is sent to Opal more than once, it will be rejected, ensuring the asset appears only once in the Asset Library.
