Invite Users

With more members of the team in Opal, you'll benefit from increased visibility and alignment. Bring the team together in one place by sending an invitation.

Any user can send an invitation to a team member, team, brand, or partners.

Note: If you do not see this feature, please contact your Opal admin or support.

Send Invite

  1. Hover over the sidebar, then click , located next to the Opal logo.
  2. Click “User Directory”.
  3. Click “Invite People +”  from the top right-hand corner.
  4. Enter one or many email addresses. When the email address appears, click to select it.
  5. Click the “+” to search for and select the appropriate workspace(s).
    Note: This option is available to admin users only.
  6. Click the User Role “dropdown arrows” Select the appropriate role.
    Note: This option is available to admin users only.
  7. Enter an optional personalized welcome message.
  8. Click “Send”.
Tip: In Chat & Activity, users who do not have an account can be invited by @mentioning them.

Additional Information

What role type will a new user be assigned?

  • An admin will be prompted to select a role for all new users.
  • Non-admin users will not be prompted to select a role for all new users. Invitations sent will match the user's role who initiated the invite, i.e. employee = employee, approver = approver.
  • Users assigned the Viewer role cannot invite new users.
