Desktop App

While Opal is not available as a stand alone desktop App, it is possible to create a shortcut for Opal using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Desktop Shortcut

Create a shortcut to Opal by completing the following steps.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click the three dots located in the top right-hand corner
  3. Click “Save and Share”
  4. Click “Create Shortcut”
  5. Type in the name 'Opal'
  6. Click “Open as window”

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Edge
  2. Click the three dots located in the top right-hand corner
  3. Click “Apps”
  4. Click “Install This Site as an App”
  5. Type in the name 'Opal'
  6. Click “Install”

This will save a shortcut to run Opal in its own window, just like the other apps on your computer.

Pro-tip: Add the shortcut to your Taskbar (Windows) or Dock (Apple).
