Once you’ve set up your Opal account, you may decide you’d like to change profile settings such as your notifications, default time zone, or password.

Email & In-App Notifications

By default, you will receive both in-app and email notifications for various updates and activities within Opal -- such as approval responses, access permission changes, shared content, as well as metadata or content exports.

Update Your Settings

  1. Open your Personal Panel by clicking on the user avatar located in the top right corner of any Opal view.
  2. Click on the icon.
  3. Click “Edit My Settings”.
  4. Click "Notifications" to choose to receive in-app notices, emails, or both for each of the various notification types listed.

Approval requests have two different options for email notifications to help you best manage the  volume of incoming approval requests within your inbox: Send Email Once Daily and Send Email Immediately.

  • Send Email Once Daily - Receive a daily digest of all outstanding approvals at a desired time. Set the time of day when these bulk updates should deliver.
  • Send Email Immediately - Receive every approval request sent to you in an individual email at the time when the request was submitted.
