Navigate Stories

A story is made up of many parts including moments, content, labels, assets, briefs, approvers and more. Take a look below to learn how to navigate your stories.

View Stories

To see all the stories in a workspace, click “Stories” view located in the workspace sidebar. Once clicked, all the current stories in the workspace will be displayed.

Looking at your stories, you’ll notice that story lengths differ. The length of each story is represented by a colored bar spanning from the start date to the end date. The color associated with a story is based on the primary label added to each label set. Hover over a story bar to show the story name and its date range. To see stories in the future or past, click and drag the calendar to the left or right.

Also in Stories view, you’ll see the day indicator — a purple bar running from the top of the screen to the bottom that indicates today’s date on the calendar. The count of today’s active stories is noted in the Stories view header. Additionally, a total count of stories is also noted.

Within each story, you may see smaller vertical bars. These bars represent the frequency of moments planned in each story. The taller the bar, the more moments there are on that day. Clicking the story bar navigates you to the story page, where you’ll see all the related moments and content.

Use filters to help you find and curate exactly which moments and content are applicable to you. Access filters from the top left corner of your Stories view. Toggle content that is viewable or hidden based on the status, channels and labels, as well as the option to search for a keyword or phrase.

Story Page View

This view is very similar to Moments view. The primary difference is the story sidebar located on the left-hand side of the screen.

In the sidebar, you’ll see a number of story-specific options including editing or deleting the story, creating a presentation, labels, etc. Let’s take a look at a few of the key components of the story sidebar.

Asset Library

The asset library allows your team to easily upload images, audio files, video and documents to your story. When someone creates content, they can use the asset library to browse and select any previously uploaded asset.

Collaborators

Anyone who contributes to a story in any way will be noted as a collaborator. This means that if you leave a comment, approve content, are invited to the story, or take any action in the story, you will appear as a collaborator.

Tip: Invited collaborators will be automatically included in the story sidebar even if they have not contributed to the story.

Brief

If a brief has been uploaded to a story, you will have access to it in the story sidebar. Clicking on the brief will open a new window where you can read the brief, collaborate with your colleagues, or download it to your device. You can also access story briefs from within moments and content.
