Notes

Notes provide your team with context and direction by including key metadata, budget details, attachments, and other unique information.

View a Note

Moment notes are viewable in the left-hand sidebar of the moment.

Content notes are viewable anywhere you can see the content.

Note: Notes can be seen by non-Opal users when the content is included in a presentation.

Add a Note to a Moment

Share a strategy document, what hashtags to use, or helpful links with your colleagues. If you’re sharing details regarding an entire moment, a moment note is the ideal place to add this information.

  1. Navigate to an existing moment or create a new moment.
  2. Click the Add a Note icon.
  3. Type in your note and/or attach a document.
  4. Click “Save” to finalize your note.

Add a Note to Content

When you need to communicate information or direction regarding a single piece of content, add a note with detailed information and supporting documentation via a content card or in the Composer.

Add a Note to a Content Card

  1. Navigate to an existing moment
  2. Locate the content you want to update with additional information
  3. Click the Note icon
  4. Type your note or attach a file
  5. Click “Save

Add a Note in the Composer

  1. Navigate to a piece of content and click the content card to open the Composer
  2. Click the “Note, Chat & Activity” tab
  3. Click the note icon
  4. Type your note or attach a file
  5. Click “Save
Tip: While leaving a note, you can @mention your colleagues to insure they see the important information.

Edit a Note

Edit a Note on a Content Card

  1. Navigate to an existing moment
  2. Locate the content you want to update with additional information
  3. Click the existing note
  4. Update the note or attach a file
  5. Click “Save

Edit a Note in the Composer

  1. Navigate to a piece of content and click the content card to open the Composer
  2. Click the “Note, Chat & Activity” tab
  3. Click the note
  4. Update the note or attach a file
  5. Click “Save

Upload Files to a Note

Add a document or other media to a note. Below is a list of commonly used and supported file types.

.csv, .doc, .gif, .html, .jpg, .pages, .pdf, .png, .psd, .key, .numbers, .svg, .txt, .tiff, .xls, .xml, .zip
