Lee Dussinger Updated by Lee Dussinger

The Opal Product team has been adding features and refining the campaign planner experience. These latest feature releases are focused on helping you collaborate better and making your plans even more descriptive.

What's new in Campaign Planner:

Graphs – These are data swimlanes that enable you to show KPIs in graph form at the top of your plan. Currently, data is added by uploading CSV files.

Key Dates – Add dates to the top of any plan to keep track of important events. These dates are also referenced when you click into Campaign Blocks.

Directory – In the left-hand navigational menu, there is a dedicated place to see all the plans available to you.

Custom Color Coding of Blocks – You can now color code using custom colors pulled from a color wheel.

Adjustable Swimlane Height – To give more emphasis to specific campaigns, you can now change the height of the swimlanes.

Sharing & Permissions – Now, plans are private by default. Like in Boards, permissions can be changed and plans can be shared by clicking the Share button in the top right of the screen. One other thing to note about this update: due to the changes to default plan privacy, you may need to share plans with some collaborators.

What's next for Campaign Planner:

We are actively developing Campaign Planner to continue to refine the experience and to expand the capabilities. These are the primary themes we are focusing on in the coming months:

Connecting Plans to Work – Connecting your strategy to the in-market execution represents one of Campaign Planner's key promises. To add this functionality, we are planning to connect Campaign Blocks to both individual boards and pieces of content created in Opal.

Collaboration in Campaign Block View – This update focuses on making the Campaign Blocks an even more collaborative space for planning. To achieve this, we are planning to add in-line text commenting to the rich text section in Campaign Blocks. This in-line text commenting feature will also appear in the Opal Document content type and in Boards text sections.

General Usability – As Campaign Planner is still in beta, we are continuing to make small and medium-sized improvements to the experience of using it.
